This was the most exciting summer in both Hungarian and international sports!

Over 150,000 people took part in the Everyday Hero Programme during the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. 4000 pupils got familiar with athletics and more than 10,000 children got to see the competitions live in the stadium, with 400 thousand other viewers.

And the superheroes of athletics found a new home here!

This World Championship was the largest sporting event of all time in Hungary, which even became a legendary record. The competitors broke 73 national leadings, 11 continental records, 7 world championship leadings, a U20 world record and a world leading too.
